Your First Visit to Our North Houston Practice

New patients are warmly welcomed to our North Houston chiropractic office.

Your first visit to our office is designed to be simple and comfortable. Once you sign in, you are made comfortable in our consultation room, where you watch a short DVD on our office and fill out information so we have a clear idea of what health challenges brought you to us. When you're done, the doctor will come in, review your information and talk to you about what brought you in, and what procedures will take place on this visit.

A common visit will include an examination, a computer scan of your spine and x-rays. Then either the doctor or Jean, the assistant, will review the charges expected for the day, so you understand up front what will happen.

For our patients who come in extremely hurt, we may also start some treatment. Generally, we ask that you allow an hour for this first visit.

We Explain Everything First

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.

North Houston chiropractic patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!

Next, what to expect at your second chiropractic appointment.

Dr. Erica Asks some important questions of interest to North Houston residents - Chiropractor North Houston Dr. Erica Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
What is the purpose of pain?
Pain prompts many North Houston folks to begin chiropractic care. But pain isn't the problem! Pain is just how your body alerts you that a limit has been reached (or exceeded), that something isn't working right and that some type of change is needed. As a chiropractor, my job is finding the underlying cause and recommending the changes needed to bring your body back into balance.
